Attention WSL/AWA Wrestling Fans! The phrase “Card Subject to Change” couldn’t be more appropiate for WSL/AWA Carolinas first show, “WRESTLING!”. For perhaps the first time, the meaning of that phrase’s existance is to bring you, our fans, a BIGGER and BETTER show!For the first time in nearly two years, Mr. Thomas Simpson (Famed OMEGA Promoter that brought the wrestling world two World Champions in Matt and Jeff Hardy) is shaking up the very foundation of the AWA!
With his vision of strengthening ties throughout the AWA and after negotiating terms with the AWA Board of Directors, it can now be announced that Mr. Simpson is bringing a former co-holder of the AWA World Tag Team Titles and a former holder of the AWA Fighting World Championship to Hendersonville, NC.
That man is known through out the wrestling world as “The New Generation Ace”, “The Trademark of Excellence”, and the 2008 Cauliflower Alley Club’s Future Legend Award Winner. He is the current reigning AWA Heavyweight Champion of the World. He is RICKY LANDELL!
After defeating “The Living Legend” Larry Zbyszko at “Wrestle Race 8.0″ in Indianapolis, Indiana for the title and successfully defending his championship in Ozark, Alabama against current AWA World Light Heavyweight Champion Krazy K, a new challenger emerges.
His challenger, representing AWA Savannah Valley Wrestling, comes from deep within the Georgia country side. A man who is known throughout the Southeast as a brutal, explosive, angry individual who will stop at nothing to defeat his opponent. A man who lives up to his moniker, “The Irish Assassin” JASON BLACKMAN. Blackman comes to Hendersonville, NC with years of hand to hand combat skills from professional military and law enforcement training.
Can the young champion successfully retain his title once again? Or will this “Renegade Soldier” hit his mark and not only add a new notch to his belt, but add to it with 10 pounds of gold and become the new AWA World Heavyweight Champion?
