In which Blake covers 2007…

So here is the year-end blog…It will not be in any particular order…enjoy…

I attended 57 wrestling shows this year.

I traveled 13,164 miles for wrestling.

Made my first flights for wrestling shows: The Jeff Peterson Memorial Cup in Florida, and for UWF in Virginia.

Started shooting for Hermie Sadler’s UWF – thanks to Hermie, and Mike from Highspots (all the Highspots guys actually!).

Saw a lot of good shows – met some good people – saw a lot of bad wrestlers!

Starting showing my age by turning in to bed much earlier this year.

On MySpace.com all the time!

A few regrets – I had a chance at something that probably would have turned into something really good.  So good, that I probably would have stopped the wrestling weekends and not looked back.  It’s the absolute truth that sometimes you only get one chance at important things-because of my fear of risks, I may have made a mistake that I won’t get a chance to change.

Deaths: Bam Bam Bigelow, Brett Somers, “Papa” Denny Doherty, Charles Nelson Reillly – R.I.P.

Best movie: “No Country For Old Men”

Got invited to work at the NWA Legends Fanfest in Charlotte.  Three of the best days of my “fan-boy” life.  Thanks to Greg Price for the opportunity.

Invited to work at the Carolina Wrestling Classic in Hickory, NC.  Thanks to Bob DeSantis for the chance to work with you.

Babies, babies all year!  Again, congrats to the new parents!

Saw some unpleasantness this year- but I’m not going to dwell on that.  It’s over.

Made my world TV debut on Court TV’s “Psychic Detectives.”

I started getting paid for taking wrestling pictures in 2007!

I read 41 books in 2007.

Memorable phrases from 2007: Wookie Butt, Ryze n’ Cock, Young Lion, Smells like dead ham?, I miss us too, Kirby, heavyweight goober of the world, “ewwww ewwww..mumble, mumble, Woman!” (sung to the tune of ‘Witchy Woman’)

Got to meet: Baby Doll, Tully Blanchard, Barry Darsow, JJ Dillon, Jake Roberts, Kamala, John Waters, Jimmy Fortune, James Gregory, and even sat across from Michael Stipe in the Charlotte airport.

In 2008, my opinion of Hooters will not change – it is still the worst eating establishment in any town.

Got to be Kirby Mack’s “Addict of the Month” in February.  In February also, my car was covered with more than 200 post-it notes which took me 30 minutes in freezing weather to take off.

To ER, Kirby, TJ, Thomas- thanks for the fun on the road trips, looking forward to more!

Ostgard – I didn’t get to see you as much this year, but it’s good to see that you haven’t lost your touch!

Thanks to all the promoters who welcomed me into their promotions – CWA (both of them), Action Packed Wrestling, American Pro Wrestling, UWF, Jeff Peterson Cup, NWA Anarchy, GPW and anyone I can’t recall of the top of my head.

Loaded Gunz-Looks like business is about to pick up!
