A common error among novice players…

So here it is Monday-I am back at work after an enjoyable weekend.

Friday night, I met ER at the Spartanburg Inn and we headed to Chester,SC for APW.  What a great crowd Doug had.  Doug said the final number was 273.  The security guys were very vigilant in their duties.  There was one at every corner and constantly moved around the ring.  The ringside area was one of the tighest I have ever been in.  The reason for this was the amount of fans in the building.  It does make it hard to move around at times though with so many people packed together.  Had a great time though, good to see some guys that I haven’t in awhile.

Chester has a wrestler by the name of “Big Willy” – I call him Honest Doug III though.  Ryze n’ Cock wrestled Rob Killjoy and James Drake – very good match.  I will certainly be coming back to Chester as soon as my schedule permits.

We left Chester at 12.15am…yes that’s when the show had wrapped up.  Went to Greenville to eat at Perkins on Woodruff Rd with Brother Brett and the Goonies.  The place was very clean and quiet – a welcome change from the usual places we end up eating at.  The pancakes had a very flat taste to them though.  The kielbasa was wonderful though.

ER got me back to the Inn at 4am.  As soon as we started down the road to the parking lot, I could tell something had been done to my car.  My first thought: “Those bastards!”  We pulled in, and found that my car windows were covered with yellow post it notes.  Examples: “Bob Barker is a homo” – “RIP Anna Nicole” – “Aren’t you cold?”.

It took me 15 minutes to remove them all, at which point my fingers were numb.  I must say though, that I laughed through the entire process – and I’m thankful that worse was not done.

Saturday I rode with two Hookers(Stoney and his sister) to the UWA Xtreme show in Marion, NC.  It was good to be back at UWA, Big Daddy Z has been wanting me to come back for awhile, and I was happy to make the trip.  Stoney worked the opening match against Shea Shea McGrady.  Stoney did very well in the ‘bad guy’ role.  He was “more Mack”.

The hardcore three way match was bloody!  It involved fluorescent light tubes which always make a lot of noise and dust.  They also make great pictures.  Looking forward to getting back to UWA in the future.

And yes, Burke County Wrestling stars were in attendnace – JC Steele and “Dangerous” Donnie.

I am taking a vacation day this Saturday for CWA’s anniversary show in Statesville,NC.

Here is a random thought I had the other day – how many wrestling promotions claim “Boogie Woogie Man” Jimmy Valiant as their “commissioner”?  Just wondering.
