The NASDAQ rose 12 points!

Ok, Saturday I had to work until 7pm – meanwhile my house guests got to sleep in the lavish splendor that is my living room.

Headed up to HVW that evening.  I was very tired – only a few hours of sleep and plus my legs were sort of bothering me anyway.  This will be evident to you the site visitor when you see that I did not get a lot of pictures for all the matches.  Apologies all around.

I am in the process right now of posting the pictures from Friday’s show.

After the show, we headed to Denny’s – yes again, can you believe that.  But hey, they have some new fruity mixed drinks (not like alcohol, more like orange juice, cherry and Sprite) and they are pretty good. Nothing sweet either night for myself.

Most hilarious use of food award – TJ Mack and a pancake.

Sunday was the surprise birthday party for Neil Nitro.  ER, Adam and myself headed down to his brother’s house and we were actually the first ones there.  Neil’s family is very nice.  His mother seems like the type that as soon as you meet her, she becomes your “mom”.  Everybody piled up to the front of the house to greet him when he arrived.  The BBQ was great, the company was great.  His brother even pulled out the giant inflatable bounce cage and slide. Which I will get back to.

Neil was one of the first guys in wrestling who actually gave me the time of day when I was still sitting in the crowd.  He is open about the issues he was going through before a year ago, and when I first met him I really had no idea about all that.  The past year I have seen a totally different person and I am thankful that Neil has gotten to this point in his life.  I wish continued happiness to ya, brother and I hope you enjoyed your gift.

And yes, Brice I too enjoyed the round table discussion we had in the dining room.

So now let me go into what happened with the slide.  Perhaps you have read the little announcement that ER put on his MySpace. He was sliding down the big inflatable smurf and the stopper got pulled down, so ER went tumbling and landed on his shoulder.  He got up – it was funny, everybody got a laugh, because it was happening to a few folks.  He put up a brave face, but when he said he was going to be sick we decided to take off.  We checked in at Allen Bennett Hospital.  While Adam and I enjoyed the antics of couple in the waiting room (she came in with a broken foot, but walked out – then came back and left with a neck brace), ER was getting his checkup.  He had a bump on his shoulder, and was diagnosed with a torn Acromioclavicular ligament seperation.

Anyways, he was a real trouper and I am sending him positive vibes for a quick recovery.  ER, I have also tried to get us tickets to see Benny Hinn, I’m thinking a healing with his hands may be in order.

Also I have heard tonight that Rob Guerrero is leaving the Carolinas – hate to hear that, but good luck in whatever you decide to do.

Ostgard, there is a pound of beef in my refriderator for you.

Last night was AWA Power Pro in Hendersonville.  On the way up I drove past an accident in the east bound lane of I26, the car was actually up on the concrete barrier.

The turn out for the show was dismal.  The small crowd that was there did get a very good show though.  Steven Walters wrestled Tony Kozina – I have only been able to see Steven work a few times, but he did great with Tony.  BJ Hancock vs. Stoney Hooker started out with an interesting entrance by Stoney – sort of a botched jimp/improvised flippy sort of thing….I can’t describe it.

Ostgard and The Josh should make an interesting tag team – all Josh needs is a hair cut and coloring and he could be the EFW-Mini Me.

Jake Manning smells weird, but I can’t say anthing – apparently he has favored nation status with Tracey Smothers, man.

TJ Mack – busted nose to go along with the toe.

Otto Schwanz and Kirby Mack brought the ring crashing down literally.  There were still two matches left too.

I have msg’d Commissoner Rathburn a couple of times this morning – he has been in contact with Viper and they are just waiting on someone to come by and weld up the ring.  Here’s hoping that everything will be up and running by 8 tonight.

The Balcony Boys, with Ethan Case provided a nice little running dialog during the show.

Afterwards ER, Ostgard, The Jimbo Foxes and I headed to Hannah Flannagan’s – I got pulled over on Main Street by the police.  Ostgard hung with a brother while the man was keeping me down, ER though?  Bolted, straight to the bar.  By the time that we arrived, ER had already caused enough of a scene that we couldn’t eat there.  So it was off to Denny’s!  Immediately upon arriving there, ER was scolded by the manager, Ms. Babb for being excessively loud.  We joined Ethan, his girlfriend, and DJ Ray for a meal.

Oh, and to make a public declaration: I love Kirby Mack……………..there you go………feel better now……

This coming Friday I am probably going to be heading down to NFWA in Clayton, GA.  Saturday I’m leaning towards Tom Williams’ UWA in Marion.

Ok, so it’s been several days that I have updated this…and a few things have happened.    The computer gods who usually smile upon my desktop frowned a little this weekend and decided to send down a little bug…long story short – the work I had done on Saturday including pictures from Marion and some actual real work that I have on my computer were lost, since I had to kick the machine back to a safe date.   Anyways apologies.

The show in Marion on Friday was fun, got to see a few folks I had not seen in awhile.  Bill Hazelwood was dressed to the nines and had to be burning up in his tux.  ER even got to manage Shane Austin. Mack Truck put on a good show, and I appreciate him letting me come out.  It would have been nice if the crowd could have been up.  And hot!  The heat was intense.

Saturday was HVW in Hendersonville.  Show started with a “redneck rumble” – not my favorite type of match.  I dislike the word redneck in relation to a wrestling match, as an insult I like it, but not otherwise.   Stoney and “Flaming” Ryan Chaos were in the main event in a ladder match for the Flyweight title.  Lots of in air stuff, I enjoyed the match – ladder matches always make me cringe a little.  The part I really liked – when Stoney took one of Ryan’s multiple pant straps and just tied it to the ring rope.  So simple and makes sense.  Of course Ryan couldn’t get it untied so he just steps out of the pants.

BJ Hancock, Rocky Starr, Derek Rave and Mike Storm all work very well together – now it’s time to see you all work other folks though.  ST Riker joined the Mascara Express Saturday night (aka Tyranny).

Sunday, ER, Ostgard and myself took the long way down to Chester, SC for Doug Hawkins’ show.  A great show Doug!  He had a great turn out and five matches.  The show started at 3pm which was the time to have it – after the Sunday lunch had settled and before evening church services started.  He even had midgets!  I look forward to coming back down for his show.  Supper afterwards was Shogun’s Japanese in Spartanburg.

Last night I headed down to Greenville for the last WWC show on Hwy 123.  Ken won the AWA Southern TV title from Scottie Wrenn.  Nice turnout for their show.  I hope Brodie and Lace find a new place soon, I enjoyed the trips down there.

This has been sort of short, and really breezed over a lot of what happened, but it’s already Wednesday and my brain is kind of fried.  I’m working on the pics from HVW right now, and the photos from Chester and WWC last night should be up sometime today.

Finally, TJ Mack – SEE A DOCTOR AND GET RID OF IT!

You too ER!

If you don’t know what I mean, read my prior post for Kirby…creep.  So I’m sitting here at my computer listening to music on MySpace.  This weekend is going to be fairly busy for you roving rotund cameraman.  Tomorrow night ER and I will be heading to Marion, NC for Appalachian Championship Wrestling at the National Guard Armory.  Saturday will be High Velocity Wrestling in Hendersonville, NC. Looking forward to getting back up there.  Then on Sunday, Ostgard and I, possibly Boomer and ER will be heading back down to Chester, SC for Honest Doug’s Fathers Day show.  Busy busy.  Team Macktion & Thomas will be heading down to Florida tomorrow for the 2006 Jeff Peterson Memorial Cup – good luck and pleasant traveling.  Please remember not to let any torn up newspapers fly out the windows.

Fantabulous weekend…Saturday we (Thomas, ER, Ken, TJ and haircut) left for CWF in Burlington,NC  at 2pm.  Great show.  The crowd went ape shit when they saw the Hardy’s were in the building.  Stutts got a boot to the gut from Jeff.  Had supper at my second favorite eating establishment that features scantily clad wait staff – Hooters.  How important do I feel walking into a restaurant with the Hardy’s, Shannon Moore and Shane Helms?  Not nearly as important as when I’m near Jimbo Fox!!!!!

Kirby claims to be a juggernaut…he does a have a blue helmet.  Highlights of the Hooters meal:  the multiple Thomas impressions at the table; someone “selling” on the floor, finding a chicken wing bone…and eating it!; a drink thrown in a face, the cooks getting a lesson, and a really good hot dog.

The trip back was one of the more memorable that I have had.  Apparently you can sober up fairly quickly if you empty your bladder and then run up I85.  Happy to see Michael Frehley, Neil Nitro and Brice Anthony on the card Saturday night – members of the Mid Atlantic affiliate Power Pro should visit their parent promotion.

I’m in the process of getting the photos posted from Saturday.  Sunday was the ECW PPV and it sucked.  The company was what made the PPV though.  Gizmo is a mad dawg!

ER stayed overnight Saturday with my cat.  Sunday he was exposed to Dolemite and ICP’s “Big Money Hustlas” and got to take in the complete “Orgazmo”.

This upcoming week I only have one show planned, HVW on Saturday night.  I may try to hit Honest Doug’s show in Chester on Sunday, it’s for Fathers Day.

F**K Kirby Mack!

A plea!

Saturday, June 10th, 2006

ER! We’re sorry, please come back to the blogosphere!  Amuse us with your wisdom and misspellings.  Don’t be all mad, ya fruit!

Just to clarify!

Ok, so one of my sleazy friends (I am still King Sleazy though) has alerted me to the fact that there is a sentence in my previous post that may be misconstrued. Below is the original post with added emphasis:

“went to see X-Men 3 at the EPIC theater. Wow, what a disappointment. I don’t want to give anything away but I didn’t feel right about the deaths in the movie or the “neutering” of characters. Which I found out later, I missed a big scene at the end of the movie because I was concentrating too much on someone’s hand!”

Just to clarify – I was concentrating on a hand that was on the screen – to be more precise, Magneto’s hand.

Ok, now that that’s out of the way, the country can get back to more important things like trying to write discrimination into the Constitution.

ahhhhh…..

Ok, I have given pussy cat her Prozac, finished washing some dishes and I think I am finally ready to do this thing…

Let’s start with Friday. ER, Ostgard and myself knew that our bud, “Honest” Doug Hawkins was running his hometown of Chester, SC on Friday night. Boomer was going to be working the show, so we decided to tag along. Met at Boomer’s about 4.30 and took off. We wanted to leave in enough time to get to the town and eat at The Cyclone – Steaks & Seafood. Riding down to Chester was one of the more bleak trips I have taken. I by no means am insulting anyone or any town, I’m just saying that it seems like a depressed area. Not a lot going on.

The Cyclone was really good. I got a cheeseburger plate with some fries and slaw. Wonderful slaw, sweeeet tea. Boomer and ER had previously visited the Cyclone (be sure to check out Boomer’s photo on the wall of fame if you happen by), so it was like visiting royalty for the town. I was actually sitting at the table when a kid came over and asked for an autograph from Boomer.

Left there and headed over to the Chester Little Theater. Stopped at a gas station along the way, and I was presented with a 3 inch John Boy & Billy “Pocket Rocket” sausage – thanks O and BP. Doug was holding the show inside an old movie theater. I liked the set-up at the building, the previous projector room is now the dressing room and crows nest.

I actually felt a little awkward going into the “locker room”, but after speaking to everyone it was nice to be around the APW guys again. Thanks Doug for the hospitality. Good to see Mark, Rowdy, Zack, Kaos, Evon, Shea Shea, Buddy, McHone (and his odd toenail), Shane, Eagle, Sandy, Rhonda etc etc.

The Chester crowd was pretty hot into the show, and it was over about 10.30? We headed over to Pizza Hut and I had some bread sticks.

Saturday, Ostgard and I headed up to HVW’s training hour in Hendersonville. O worked with some of the guys in the ring while I just sort of BS’d with Bulldykes and Viper. Copies of “Bold Life” were distributed which has an article about HVW in it.

We then went to see X-Men 3 at the EPIC theater. Wow, what a disappointment. I don’t want to give anything away but I didn’t feel right about the deaths in the movie or the “neutering” of characters. Which I found out later, I missed a big scene at the end of the movie because I was concentrating too much on someone’s hand! I didn’t even get to see previews for “Snakes on a Plane!”

Left the theater and headed back to HVW. Fairly good show. Jason Jett and Country Kid will now be called “Gump Gibson & Country Morton”. Manchild shocked and awed the crowd with his “Cow Pussy Clothesline” and itty-bitty Kiddy Kwiky delivered his Kwik Bomb (which is where Viper got it from I have heard).

Went to Denny’s afterwards, not my first choice but I did get something different this time.

I really can’t remember much else, it feels like it was ages ago….this weekend is CWF/AWA Mid Atlantic in Burlington, NC.

- Is 2008 here yet?
- I write my 7’s fancy…I put a line through them.
- The pictures from HVW should be up tomorrow.

I know, I know…I haven’t updated the blog…and I know you are all wondering what happened this past weekend! My return to APW? Who made a mess in my bathroom? Stay tuned!

I will probably get it posted tonight? Also the pictures from HVW…
